I’m the type of person who always has 3–5 different plates spinning at any given time. I work across lots of media; sometimes graphic design, creative direction, collage, and even music. I don’t subscribe to the idea that people, places, or brands need to be reduced down to “one thing”. A broader existence = a richer experience.
My work starts by digging through history, ephemera, and related inspiration because context is key. I reinterpret, cut, layer, arrange, and/or reframe ideas until something new and exciting emerges. I’m drawn to how things vibrate when they are next to one another, the intrinsic energy created by bringing ideas together. The trick is to make work that feels familiar at first, then slowly opens up as you spend more time with it.
15+ years spent as a creative director have taught me to pay close attention to composition, hierarchy, pacing, and story. Writing and recording music has given me an ear for rhythm, repetition, tension, and space. Creating collages is all about working with what is in front of you and turning scraps into something special. When you add all of this up, I feel confident to crush anything in front of me.
Collaboration is key; reach out.
